'This Is Grief' is a beautifully designed and illustrated resource that supports individuals and families to navigate grief and loss of any kind. The resource addresses the following questions that many grievers have:

  • What is grief?

  • What can I expect to feel?

  • Is what I am feeling normal?

  • Will it get better?

  • What helps?

  • How do I support a child or young person?

  • How do I support someone through grief?

  • Where can I find professional support?

‘This Is Grief’ was developed by Palliative Care Tasmania, written by Jess Sanders, illustrated by Steph Spartels and funded by the Tasmanian Department of Health. Anyone living and working outside of Tasmania will need to pay a small fee for our resources to cover the cost of printing, administration, and postage.

Palliative Care Tasmania is on a mission is to create grief-literate communities, and we do this by offering free resources and grief literacy education to professionals and volunteers working and living in Tasmania.

‘This Is Grief’ is also available as a free e-book or printable PDF here: https://learningthroughloss.org.au/resources/
